Look for the article “Make Your Own Hardware” in the May 2010 issue. It has been a real learning experience to go through this process from start to finish. The staff at FWW have been wonderful to work with. Let’s just say that the original draft looked nothing like the final, for the better!

Mendocino Coast Furniture Makers are making a gift for us all as they direct their talents into making fun and intriguing wooden toys that entertain children and adults alike. Cherished by children since they began playing with sticks, wooden toys have always been favored by parents to inspire, amuse and provide quiet entertainment for their young. Enduring and fun, families pass traditional wood toys down though generations. As an integral art of all cultures, toys teach children about their society and the world about them. Hoops, tops, rocking horses, rattles, mobiles, whirlygigs and all matter of wooden toys will pour out of the furniture makers’ workshops.
You can read more about the show on the PressDemocrat website.
New Hinge Sizes
Sanderson Hardware is introducing new sizes for both the knife hinge and “L” hinge as well as wall hanging brackets, pin stock for making hinges and slide bolts. The “tiny hinge series” are perfect for the small boxes and jewelry cabinets; designed for your tiny work. The craftsmanship and attention to detail, of course, is the same as our other hinges, these are just smaller.
